Lately, I started thinking a lot about what I can do to make my life more efficient, and by doing so I stumbled upon a series from one of my favorite YT channels out there, and that is Vox (psst, they have a whole playlist dedicated to design-thinking, it’s called Vox by Design). There you can learn all about how High-Speed Trains in Japan were designed based on the anatomy of penguins and much more.

In doing all this digging, I came across a few things we can each do to make our lives easier and more distraction-free.

🧆 The paradox of emptiness

In one of the videos mentioned earlier, it’s discussed how much food is wasted daily around the world, and it brought up two very interesting points about the tie between minimalism and food waste.

We, humans, as a collective, seek minimalism in pretty much all aspects of our lives, from architecture, interior design, mobile apps, and so on, — buuuuuut, not when it comes to our fridge. That’s where our brain tricks us into thinking we need to see it full all the time. — Crazy! I know!
