This set is coming early, as my next fic is taking a bit to get worked on. So I decided to do the theme justice with some tangential referencing. The fiction behind the Battletech setting is just vast and amazing. The lore paints most factions as mostly gray, with their own heroes and villains, and a billion different dramas are always going on in some corner of the Inner Sphere.

It is no surprise that such a rich universe spawned a slew of stories, both official and fan-made. Some of the latter are incredibly good, well-written, and certainly inspiring in their representations of war, futuristic combat, and human drama.

Among such pieces is A Twist in the Knife, by Mage Leader. If you are a fan of military science-fiction and good storytelling, I highly advise you to go to his YouTube page and check on this audiobook. It is still ongoing, but it keeps your excitement high with great characters and exciting scenes, in and out of combat.

To further honor this tale, I bring you a Clan Adder, or Puma, if you know it by its Inner Sphere name, in Mage Squadron’s colors. The model is really simple, using only 28 easy-to-find parts. If you got enough Legos, you can make an entire army of these things.

So, let me know what you think of this model and if you made your own. And go check on Mage Leader’s tale. Tell him Francisco sent you!
