Modex and the International University of Monaco (IUM) are joining forces to support the next generation of entrepreneurs and one of the biggest luxury business pitching competitions of 2019: The Mark Challenge.

Hosted by the International University of Monaco, The Mark Challenge is a competition that provides students gifted with a keen entrepreneurial spirit the opportunity to pitch a luxury or premium business idea to a professional panel of potential investors and community leaders. The competition aims to build a cohesive and engaging ecosystem where the new generation of entrepreneurs can come in contact with business leaders and get hands on experience with this exciting and profitable domain.

The International University of Monaco announced that the initial stage of the 6th edition of The Mark Challenge will be attended by 104 teams, composed of 263 students with 50 different nationalities, representing 51 Business Schools and Universities from 17 different countries. 67 projects have already been submitted for the competition and a jury of 10 members will evaluate them to create a list of 30 semifinalists.

During this year’s edition, there are two categories of teams competing: the Bachelor & Masters category and MBA/experienced professionals/Alumni category. In addition to the best Business Plan Awards for the two categories, the jury of the Grand Final 2019 will deliver two specific awards:

- Business plan in Fashion

- Best Business plan in Yachting

The competition is organized by the International University of Monaco with the support of a committee consisting of University Faculty, students and Alumni communities, as well as local and international professionals.

As a company, Modex strives to promote and support young talents. In order to stimulate participation and incentivize students to give in to their passion and follow a path of growth, we are supporting this initiative by allocating a pool of resources and funds. We strongly believe that by supporting the next generation of entrepreneurs and tech professionals we are going to get one step closer to building a new model of society focused on growth and cooperation.

The winning team of the 6th edition for the Bachelor & Masters category will receive a prize of 500 EUR, 3000 MODEX Tokens and marketing consultancy. Furthermore, the winner for the MBA & Alumni category will receive a prize of 1000 euros, 5000 Modex Tokens and a package of 10,000 euros for marketing, logo and branding consultancy as necessary support to develop and launch their business.

The selected finalists will compete in Monaco at the prestigious Monaco Yacht Club on May 15th 2019. In order to be eligible for the competition, participants must meet the following requirements:

• 3rd year Bachelor students, Master, MBA, Executive MBA, and Alumni from International Universities and Business Schools

• Have an innovative business idea in the premium or luxury product or service field

• Fluency in the English Language

• Have a passionate, entrepreneurial spirit

• Have the capabilities to demonstrate a sustainable business model with a social or environmental impact
