Welcome to the March 2023 Uldor Monthly Update! We use these posts to summarize our accomplishments from the month and give you a quick look ahead. Many of these updates will have been discussed previously on our Twitter Spaces, Twitch Streams, or other announcements, but these posts serve as a way to catch up in case you missed anything!
What is Uldor?
Uldor is a web3 MMORPG being developed in UE5. The game will be free-to-play and feature a vast open world for players to explore, large-scale PvP battles in faction zones, and structured PvP matches in the Arena. Our genesis sale consists of special hero-class characters with utility in the game. You can find more specifics about Uldor in our whitepaper.
Dread Arena Update
We revealed the Dread Arena game mode in a closed alpha in January. The Dread Arena has been played by the top web3 content creators. We have been blown away by the reactions from those who have played it, and we have received extremely valuable feedback.
Within the coming days, we will be releasing a big update that brings some exciting improvements to the look and feel, combat, controller support, and various fixes and tweaks. There are a number of subtle improvements that add considerably to the immersion and overall quality of the game. For example, in the previous version, players had an artificial light around them to help them see in dark areas. Now, your character has a lantern attached to their belt, creating a real light source that moves as you move. In addition to the many quality improvements, combat mechanics were improved, wave balance was tweaked to make the game even more replayable, and additional controller support was added.
In future updates, you can expect more weapons, boss waves, leaderboards, and co-op so you can play with a friend!
How to Get Access to the Dread Arena Alpha
The Dread Arena is currently in a closed alpha. We want to keep the player base at a level where we can best take in bug reports and feedback. In the future we will be opening access to everyone. For now, there a few ways to get access to the alpha:
- Content creators — We are prioritizing access for content creators because they are vital to the growth of the web3 gaming ecosystem. If you are a content creator, please reach out to us on Twitter.
- Genesis collection holders — If you hold a Guardian or Furie, jump into Discord and you can claim an access key to start playing now!
- Waitlist — You can get on the waitlist for alpha keys by visiting Uldor.com and entering your email address. We are sending out keys regularly.
How to Give Feedback on the Dread Arena Alpha
We would love to get your feedback! If you run into bugs, have suggestions, or just want to tell us your thoughts on the game, please let us know using this form.
Uldor Town Hall
In March we held a Town Hall in Discord where we invited members of the community to ask questions and give feedback to the team. We looked back on the progress we’ve made thus far and updated the community on our current goals and future plans, making sure our plans aligned with our community expectations. We had a number of great questions and received important feedback from our community. A recording of the Town Hall is available in the Uldor Discord.
Community Engagement
We continue to host weekly events to promote Uldor, including Twitter Spaces, Twitch Streams, and poker tournaments. Visit our Discord for more information or to get involved in these events. We welcome your feedback and suggestions for other fun ways we can engage with our community!

Uldor Guardian Mint Reserves
We reserved 200 Guardians for giveaways and promotional purposes. In March we have given out the last of our preminted Guardians. As a reminder, we gave Guardians as rewards for events in Discord and on Twitter with the dual purpose of promoting engagement and encouraging new people to check out what we are building. We did not reserve any Furies, but we may mint or purchase Furies for future giveaways and promotions. This was an item we discussed in the recent Uldor Town Hall where we collected feedback from the community.
