Everyday, I write about something…

I don’t always wake up knowing what I’m about to write. In fact, I hardly have a clue.

But one thing is for sure…

I always write.

I have particular opinions of everything in this world. Everybody does. It’s not being judgmental; we each come from various backgrounds and we think about things in different lights.

That’s just how it works.

Everyday, I think of something, anything that I have a certain opinion on. If something is especially irritating me that morning, that particular thing is going to be written about in an explanatory fashion that illustrates exactly why I have the feelings that I do.

I don’t just focus on negative things — I’m not a pessimist. On the other hand, I’d consider myself to be a pretty light-hearted, glass-half-full type of guy. I simply feel that it’s useful (for myself and others) if I write everyday and just spew my thoughts out into the world.

For one, I’m writing. I’m an aspiring journalist and writing everyday is the only way that I’m going to get any good at this writing thing.

Practice makes perfect, right?

Secondly, it’s one of the most relieving things ever.

It’s like when you were in high school and your best friend told you a secret that you had to swear you couldn’t tell to anyone. It’s awful keeping it in, but when the secret is finally out in the blue or irrelevant, it feels amazing knowing that you don’t have to keep anything tucked inside, away from any outsiders.

That’s how I feel when I write my own opinions on Medium.

Quite frankly, I don’t care if anyone disagrees with my opinions. I’m not writing about anything too political or taking any stands against a certain group of people. If someone wants to say something, that’s what the “response” option is for.

I’m simply writing because I want to voice my opinions on the things that affect my life and I think it’d be pretty cool if other people were to hear what I had to say. That way, they can relate themselves with someone that they’ve never met before but shares a similar perspective on something; they can even voice their own opinions back if they wish.

I mean, that’s what the internet’s for, right? It’s so that we have the ability to share endless amounts of information at an insanely fast speed. I’m just trying to take advantage of the incredible stroke of genius that made things like Medium possible.

Sue me.
