As of April 30th 2019, all 200 early edition hubs have been shipped. The second batch will be shipped exactly one month from now at early June. The Sharder-Testnet networking and rewards testing will begin as our community receives the first batch of the hubs, here’re some info regarding the testnet and rewards:
Test Rewards and SS Circulation：
11,700,000 SS will be unlocked from the remaining 100,000,000 SS for systematic rewards and will go towards testnet systematic rewards. 15,000,000 SS was unlocked on March 2019 for core team members (the remaining 35,000,000 SS will be unlocked separately on March 2020 and 2021). The total circulated SS will increase from 350,000,000 to 376,700,000 SS by the conclusion of testing. (The SS locked up for pool mining were not considered for this time’s unlock)
Test Period（Planned）：
- Phase One (May — Jul. 2019): Hub node mining, Sharder pool, PoC consensus, new functions, and network stability will be tested;
- Phase Two (Aug. — Sept. 2019): Off-chain storage, business API, data migration plan, preparations for mainnet swap will be tested.
Networking Plan：
There are three methods for connecting to the Sharder-Testnet:
a) All hubs will be able to mine through hub nodes after activation and linking.
b) Community members with the technical finesse can operate a normal node by directly cloning and compiling the code on GitHub.
c) At a later time, the desktop Sharder client will be available for download on the Sharder website. Interested community members can download the client and run a normal node.
Note: SS denotes the current circulated SS (ERC-20) on exchanges and TSS denotes the token being used in the Sharder-Testnet.
Mining and Pools：
Block Generation Rewards: The average block generation time for the testnet is 3 minutes and each block nets 128 TSS. Before Q2.2019, hub nodes will receive 90% of block generation rewards. Normal nodes and foundation nodes will receive 10% of block generation rewards.
A minimum of 20k SS must be staked to run a pool and a minimum of 10k SS must be staked to join a pool. The lifecycle of each pool is 15 days. Pool creators can gain a maximum of 30% on pool rewards. A maximum of 500k SS can be staked on each pool for phase one testing with a TSS — SS conversion ratio of 2:1. The maximum will be adjusted to 300k for phase two testing with a TSS — SS conversion ratio of 1:1.
Mined TSS can be converted to SS once per month and the minimum amount for conversion is 1000 TSS.
TSS Airdrop：
You must first link your ETH address for locking up SS to be converted to TSS for running a hub. You can link your ETH address and apply for the TSS airdrop at your account dashboard on www.sharder.org. Following your application, Sharder team members will distribute the relevant amount of TSS to your linked TSS address according to the amount of SS locked up at a 1:1 ratio. The TSS can be used for pool creation or for joining pools. Any airdropped TSS cannot be used towards TSS-SS conversion.
Note:
a) Block generation times, pool staking amounts, lifecyles and etc. may be adjusted according to test results or requirements. Sharder will make an announcement regarding any adjustments.
b) There may be hard forks or forced roll-backs, please report any bugs to our admins on Telegram to help us in providing a better testing environment.

Achievements and Prospects：
The release of COS v.0.1.3 symbolizes Sharder’s first step towards completing what’s formulated within the whitepaper. It took 12 months from the start of Sharder-Chain’s R&D on April 10th 2018 to the release of v.0.1.3. Eleven developers participated in the R&D process and 300,000 lines of code were added from the 1,540 submissions. Sharder PoC, Sharder Pool, and off chain-storage are original creations from the process.
Great changes happened to the cryptocurrency world within these 12 months. We like to express our thanks to the Sharder community for their perseverance and support. Besides the continued R&D of Sharder’s lower layer code and storage functions, the Sharder Foundation and the Sharder core team will pour more resources towards the following aspects: Launching of Sharder’s mainnet, BizApps similar to Signease and market expansion, governance of the Sharder community, SS functionality, and development of the Sharder ecology.
