Digital Garage (DG) has launched the “cars Smart Card Payment powered by DGFT Invoice Card Payment,” a B2B payment service to support the cash flow of automotive businesses using “cars MANAGER”, a shared marketing automation service for the automotive industry provided by cars.

The payment service is based on “DGFT Invoice Card Payment”, a service that DG has been developing since 2022. This project is part of the group strategy “DG FinTech Shift” and aims to further expand DG’s payment services for the B2B market.

Background of Service Development

Many businesses in the automotive industry, which are the main customers of “cars MANAGER,” face challenges in managing their cash flow. This is due to the relatively high cost of purchasing inventory and the difficulty of passing on recent cost increases to their customers.

“cars MANAGER” is a shared marketing automation service that supports customer car life through AI-powered marketing employees in the automotive industry. By utilizing AI to collect and analyze car life data of people and cars, “cars MANAGER” can be used for “management support,” “customer acquisition support,” and “side business support,” thereby achieving “increased profits,” “increased customers,” and “increased efficiency” through sustainable growth. In 2022, it was selected for the Good Design Award.

“DGFT Invoice Card Payment” allows businesses to switch from bank transfers to JCB/Visa/Mastercard®/Diners Club cards (excluding prepaid cards issued under the JCB brand) for payment of invoices, effectively extending the payment due date by up to approximately 60 days. It can be used even if the business partner does not support card payments. It supports the cash flow of small and medium-sized businesses, such as seasonal funding shortages and unexpected funding needs.

In addition, the automatic invoice reading function using AI-OCR automatically reads more than 90% of the required input items.

Previously announced partnerships include Tokyu Card, CARRY ME, among others.
