Project DELTA at “Smart City Summit Asia Conference” held in KINTEX 2018
Project Delta’s CMO Mr. Josh Choi has presented ‘The opportunities and challenges of blockchain technologies to be applied to Smart City’ at the “Smart City Summit Asia Conference” held in KINTEX, Ilsan from September 18th to 20th, 2018.
Moderated by Prof. Jung Yoo-shin, the Dean of Seogang Graduate School of Management of Technology and the Director of Korea Fintech Center. The panel discussion was attended by Dr. Dae Joon Joo, former Vice President of KAIST and President of the National Cyber Safety Federation, Ms. Ki Young Kim, Director of Block Chain Division at LG CNS, and Mr. Christopher Fernandez, CEO of Block Gemini, Dubai’s largest block-chain solution company.
Josh Choi has introduced the main advantages of DELTA Protocol, a hybrid chain that overcomes the limitations of existing private and public chains and presents new alternatives, and its role in the future of smart city solutions based on IOT big data, artificial intelligence, etc.
After the session, Josh Choi discussed various possibilities of cooperation with the participants in the local governments, corporations, and public institutions.
Project DELTA will continue to explore the possibility of using the DELTA blockchain protocol as a smart city solution.

프로젝트델타의 CMO 최지영 (Josh Choi)님은 2018년 9월18일부터 20일까지 일산 킨텍스에서 개최된 “스마트시티 서밋아시아 컨퍼런스 “ 에서 스마트시티에 적용하게 될 블록체인 기술들의 방향성과 표준안이라는 주제로 발표하였습니다.
컨퍼런스 기간동안 서강대학교 기술경영전문대학원장이자 한국핀테크지원센터장인 정유신 교수가 좌장을 맡고, 패널로는 전 KAIST부총장이자 국가사이버안전연합회 회장인 주대준 박사, LG CNS 블록체인사업추진단 김기영 단장, 두바이 최대의 블록체인 솔루션 기업인 Block Gemini의 크리스토퍼 페르난데즈CEO가 패널로 참석하였습니다.
이 자리에서 최지영(Josh Choi)님은 향후 IoT 빅데이터, 인공지능 등을 기반으로 한 스마트시티 솔루션에 프라이빗과 퍼블릭체인의 장점을 살린 하이브리드체인이 중요한 역할을 할 것이며, 프로젝트 델타가 준비중인 블록체인 프로토콜은 기존의 프라이빗과 퍼블릭체인의 한계점을 극복하고 새로운 대안을 제시하는 하이브리드 체인으로써 주된 장점들에 대해 소개하였습니다.
세션 발표 후 지자체 정부, 대기업, 공공기관 등에서 참석자들과 다양한 협력 가능성에 대해 논의하였으며 앞으로 관계를 지속해 나아가면서 델타가 준비하고 있는 블록체인 프로토콜이 스마트시티솔루션에 활용될 수 있는 방안을 연구해 나아가도록 노력할 것 입니다.
