What’s next for WarpLight, and how you can support our mission

Cheaper, bigger, and better than ever

A few months ago, we introduced WarpLight Pro, our initial vision for a subscription service which would not only grant you access to extraordinary benefits, but also to help support our initial developments, ranging from research & development costs, license purchases, and most importantly, recurring expenses such as server time.

Ever since then, we re-introduced WarpLight Pro as WarpLight Quantum, dropping a now overused, meaningless title for a more otherworldly, mysterious yet universal title, Quantum.

Quantum keeps most of the same great promises initially revealed with WarpLight Pro, ranging from the ability to create your own sticker and emoji packs for use on WarpLight social platforms, as well as the ability to share all of your benefits with up to 5 people. Let’s take a closer look at what’s new, and most importantly, what’s changed with WarpLight Quantum.

Insane upload capacity

Back in August of 2022, we released a quality update which allows users to upload up to 300 MB and 480 MP of total image media per post, spread over 30 individual images, with each image having a maximum size of 10 MB and 16 MP, which we felt would allow a large amount of image media currently circulating today to be posted on the Atmos platform with no loss in quality.

WarpLight Quantum members will be able to go even higher, showcasing our commitment to becoming a truly next-gen platform, with an even higher maximum size of 80 MB and 80 MP for each image, skyrocketing the total upload capacity to 2.4 GB and 2,400 MP, which even equates to 2.4 GP (gigapixels)! This is 480-times higher than a currently popular social platform, with 7.5-times more media in each post!

Even for users who do not subscribe to WarpLight Quantum, we’ll be increasing the maximum upload capacity to 600 MB and 600 MP per-post for everyone, equating to a maximum size of 20 MB and 20 MP per-image, which is still 4-times larger than a currently popular social platform! Compared to the current per-image limitations with Atmos, it allows for 25% more resolution, and 100% larger photos!

Share it all

What use is it to get all of these amazing features and benefits for yourself… when you can share them with up to 5 people, at no additional charge? Where else can you do that?

You’ll be able to create your own share groups, where you can invite up to 5 people to utilize your subscription benefits, just as if they were paying for it themselves. Privacy and data security is our top priority, and your share group members won’t see your payment details, account information, and vice versa. The only data that’s shared between accounts is the share group information, which helps them stay aware of their share group status and additional benefits.

Bring the fun

You’ll also be able to create your own custom emoji and sticker packs with WarpLight Quantum, which you can then use across all WarpLight social platforms in comments, messages, posts, and more. We’ll make it easy to import your stickers and emojis from other platforms, and better yet, you don’t need Quantum to use any built-in or custom emoji and sticker packs, so everyone can join in on the fun!

Vibes, visualized

With Quantum, you’ll also get the ability to share your current state of mind through music, an innovative, yet subtle approach to a status indicator on WarpLight platforms. With it, you can choose your mood color, link a song, and anyone who interacts with your profile avatar will be able to open the link to the song to get a quick sample of it, where they can then use their music subscription to listen to the entire track, or learn more about it.

Fill, it, up

With Atmos, you’ll have the ability to schedule posts, save drafts of posts you’ve yet to send, and bookmark posts for future reference. With Quantum, you’ll be able to break barriers, and store an infinite amount of unsent and bookmarked items in your Atmos profile. Even without Quantum, free users will be able to store up to 50 scheduled items and draft posts, and up to 500 bookmarks, with older bookmarks automagically being cycled out to make room for the newest ones.

Now more accessible than ever

We previously announced that WarpLight Quantum would be available at $10 USD per month, powered by subscriptions via Patreon, or when sending one-time donations to our PayPal address. Now, we’re cutting it in half to not only make it even easier to access, but also to match and even compete with other similar subscription services, such as Discord Nitro’s lower-end tier, or Twitter Blue and its selective feature set. With Quantum, there’s only one tier, and it’ll enhance your experience across all WarpLight platforms and beyond.

And most importantly, subscribing to WarpLight Quantum helps fund our ongoing efforts and initial developments, primarily in the pursuit of increasing public knowledge about our services, covering necessary expenses, funding our research & development, and to allow WarpLight to be legally recognized as a company, which can open even more windows of opportunity for funding, advertising, and most requested of all, the necessary prerequisites for kickstarting the distribution of our mobile apps for Atmos, and eventually Rapid, our take on an instant messaging service.

If you would like to consider supporting us, you can visit our Patreon page, or you can reach out to us directly through socials or email for a link to our one-time donation method, PayPal. Be sure to include the email address for the WarpLight Account you would like for us to associate with the number of months you’re eligible for via courtesy credits. ($20 one-time donation = 4 months of Quantum, via 4 courtesy credits)

Designed for you, not them

Atmos by WarpLight, as well as all of our future platforms and services, are built from the ground up with privacy and user control in mind, and one of our most notable commitments is that we will never share your WarpLight Account data, or anything connected to your WarpLight Account, such as your Atmos profile, with anyone else, ever, unless we have your explicit permission to do so. And for when we do develop the underlying infrastructure that enables the seamless continuity between WarpLight Accounts and third-party applications and platforms, we’ll be sure to design it in a way that makes it clear what information is shared, what isn’t, and give you the control to either allow or deny the connections, and manage them after the fact.

Everyone wins

Unlike other social platforms such as Twitter, we give everyone the same great features, especially on Atmos. With it, you can post up to 30 images and GIFs in the same post, plus, you can even attach a link to a supported video file, to a website with auto-magic thumbnail and title embedding, or even to a Tweet from Twitter, which integrates beautifully with our Horizon design language, making your transition from Twitter to Atmos super easy. Plus, thanks to a specific individual who introduced a way to create insanely large polls on a legacy social network, we even support up to 30 individual options in polls as well. Better yet, you will be able to combine up to 30 images, a media attachment, and even a 30-option poll into the same post, along with up to 600 MB & MP or 2.4 GB & GP in media capacity! You can already get a taste of this with Atmos now as well, which contains the same great image, attachment, and poll capacities, with up to 300 MB & 480 MP of media capacity.

Open to all, for everyone, everywhere

Unlike smaller, niche platforms such as Pillowfort or MeWe, we believe that everyone, everywhere, should be able to explore the Atmos platform for themselves. That’s why we do not require you to sign-in or register for an account to browse most of the Atmos platform, such as when opening links, viewing what’s trending, or checking out communities or collections. This is especially true when it comes to Discord, which is notorious for typically requiring users to join Discord servers with an account, preventing information from being easily accessible on the web, which is something we do not believe in.

That’s why our motto is “For everyone, everywhere”, because we truly mean it. We want to design and build our services for anyone, no matter where or what they choose to be. We take pride in building the next-generation of user-centric services that give you the user-choice and carefully designed experiences you deserve.

When we feel that we’re delivering a quality experience that can grow and advance with us, bring us closer to those we love and wish to spend time with, and show us what’s really possible with the latest technologies, you’ll know it, because it will be:

We hope you’ll continue sticking with us through thick and thin as we continue working on our mobile interfaces, solve problems related to functional and visual issues in our Atmos platform, and while we work on bringing WarpLight into a bigger audience, so we can showcase our vision for a user-centric, next-gen reality, powered by devices of today and from the future.

PS: Join Atmos before we complete our infrastructure upgrade, and you’ll be eligible to receive an exclusive Early Member Launch Team badge in a future update!
