Well, you read the title. He’s back! No more of that anthology nonsense. Also, John Carpenter and Debra Hill are gone.
There was this really great clip I wanted to include last time. Couldn’t find it, but here’s a text version of his statement:
So, yeah, Carpenter is not involved, and instead Moustapha Akkad is mostly in control. Now we have Dwight H. Little, who would go to direct Free Willy 2: The Adventure Home (you know there was a Free Willy cartoon where he fights a cyborg? I’m dead serious)
This movie immediately lost me when Michael Myers kills someone with their thumb. And not in the cool Colonel Gentlemen way either.
From there, it goes down , though not in the sense of increasing escalation or silliness. Honestly, this movie’s biggest flaw is that it’s just flat boring. No real big scares, no real tensions, not even any fun kills. Just a lot of rote slasher scenes. And it’s only 88 minutes long, yet half…
