That caption. “Terror won’t be taking a vacation.” Man, I miss those kinds of captions. Also, it’s weird to release a film very purposely set in the fall in the summer. The film series is literally called Halloween, it’s tied to that particular season.
Anyway, Halloween H20: Twenty Years Later. Long title there.
I was impressed by Paul Rudd appearing in the last one (fortuitous, given the Quantumania trailer just dropped), but that cast of this is a real who’s who.
Jamie Lee Curtis is back, her mother, the legendary Golden Age actress Janet Leigh has a small role, Adam Arkin (okay, you probably don’t know who that is. He’s Alan Arkin’s son, he mostly does TV work), four time (maybe five now) Academy Award nominee Michelle Williams, Josh Hartnett, LL Cool J.
In spite of the Weinstein’s name still gracing the title, unfortunately, this is way more coherent and innovative than the last one. It’s also glossier, a lot more high budget, with a large unique looking set and very, very high production values.
