Hi family! A short update from my side regarding the past week’s development:

We have successfully soft launched the new V2 MV preview on Polygon and BSC.

Ethereum currently only supports the wallet until the deals functionality is throughly tested. The reason is economic one — deploying contracts on Ethereum costs a lot of money and we want to make sure that everything works as expected before spending.

We are already getting feedback from users regarding the V2. We are reviewing everything and adding bugs and ideas to our to-do list.

Behind the scenes, we are re-organising the development and operations to be able to scale the team in an easier fashion. Our core team is well organised. This comes from decades of work together. But we need a solid framework to onboard new members and developers. So there is that.

On incubation side, the holidays are over and we are continuing full-steam ahead. We now have a specific date for the demo day end of January. All the resources are focused right now to make the demo a success.

For instance, I am concentrating right now on 4 areas:

1. Implementing ideas and bug-fixes on the new V2.
2. Organising the UI to showcase its possibilities.
3. Implementing new “Bulk Deal” functionality for custom user-created “mystery boxes” and bulk deals.
4. Designing a UI prototype to showcase the minting process.

So, there is a lot of work ahead. I am getting my 3rd covid shot today and have to leave the community hour a few minutes earlier. I hope it does not affect the rest of the day. (The last time I was barely able to work for about 24 hours haha).

As a veteran player, I have a lot of special toys in my hands, but their value is now reduced a lot. How does the project team plan to empower them or use other methods to increase their value? Thanks a lot

Wit:
TOYs are envisioned to have functional as well as collectible value (especially special TOYs that are limited). Functional value is already implemented in Alchemy Arena, where you have certain advantages with special TOYs. Right now we focus on MV2 and multichain tools, we want to attract more users to the ecosystem. There are also plans in discussion to do cross-marketing with some of our new partners (more on this later) to attract more players directly to AlchemyToys and Arena.

In any case, I hold many TOYs myself and would love to have more gaming experience, but especially players 😊

Roman:
Multi-chain MV enables us to make multi- and cross-chain games. TOYS were envisioned to be the backbone of the gaming multiverse and we continue to add new use-cases for them. Future games will definitely include further new use-cases for TOYS

Regarding the gat network, I am an early supporter in the Chinese area. My enlightenment card is №29. I have participated in countless arena battles, found and submitted many bugs, and collected all kinds of toys. Please ask the project team. Is there any plan to airdrop us in the later period? Haha, there is no special meaning, you know, the “airdrop” is very hot recently

Wit:
we are looking for ways to reward users in the ecosystem. Please be aware that the 1MM GATe Growth Fund is partially meant for rewards, giveaways, etc. You have good chances to earn rewards by engaging in the community and the upcoming features. Can the cocktail staking on MV stake token and NFT now or later? At present, only see GAT’s single token stake.

Our cocktails are meant for coin/NFT staking as well as coin/NFT rewards. There are currently no open cocktails, however we will change that in the near future 😊

Roman:
We are working to make hyper-flexible cocktals where the users can stake NFT, coins or combination of those to get another NFT or coin. As a next step we will offer projects/users the ability to create their own cocktails. There is truly nothing similar out there. These tools are superb way for young projects and creators to reward their users.

Consider the following: you are creator of claimable NFTs that represent custom-made sneakers

you want to reward the holders/buyers of your NFTs with additional cNFT of socks. 😄

You can create a cocktail that gives you socks cNFT if you stake the sneakers cNFT for certain time

This is just (a silly) example, but it showcases the possibilities of the cocktails combined with our minting

These days, I have seen a lot of projects, blockchain games are emerging one after another, and Binance Lab is constantly adding partners. Hi, my name aditya, i would to ask a question. What’s the difference and advantage this project with others gamefi/nft project?

Roman:
We are a complete ecosystem with inter-connected games and a central multi-chain marketplace/tool for NFT trading, minting, etc.

We are indeed more cautious than most people. And because we work so much, we don’t get outside a lot 😂😂 So no time to meet friends or go out for drinks hehe

That is why I am getting my 3rd shot (vaccination)in half an hour. Will have to leave you all in 15 minutes. 😄

Stay healthy. That’s right. I got my third shot two months ago.

Yeah, in some places they are doing 4th shot already.
We are very serious about security and health. It’s a foundation for everything.

Johalex:
Currently your full time is dedicated to Gat Network or is there one or more other commercial projects?
On the other hand it seems that SemkoDev has closed, does this have something to do with the work focused on Gat Network?

Pete:
They are full time dedicated on GAT Network.

Wit:
There is no other commercial project. All our previous engagements have been stopped. The team is 200% focused on GAT Network 😊

Daniel:
when MV2 is fully multichain. what about situations where one chain is slow, or nodes are lagging.
I mean bakeryswap is slow as hell, and with multichains will it get worse? is there some caching possible?

Wit:
Well, we are dependent on chain’s performance, indeed. We do have a backend layer that does some caching and synchronization. It won’t help much for chains that become unresponsive , though. With time users will choose performant chains. But they will not need to learn a new trading and creation platform. MV will be there

We did see huge performance issues on BSC last year. And many performance bottlenecks persist. This is why the future is multi-chain. DApps and tokens shall not be limited to a single chain.

Johalex:
I know the team has something of a consensus for DLT technology. One day will that be related to the Gat Network in some way?

Wit:
In the past years we have been working on a more low-level blockchain technology for auto-peering and consensus. It has been used for several PoCs in different industries. We have no intention to use it in GAT Network, though. GAT Network is 100% built for blockchain’s application layer. We do more high-level work here 👍🏼

Johalex:
Iota has launched smart contracts and we know what a great job you did there on that project in the past. Will Gat Network one day go to that network?

Wit:
👀 I’d say stay tuned for the announcements 😉
We do talk to several EVM chains right now and try to form great partnerships on that side, too

Johalex:
We know the team focuses on board games and strategy. However, would a partnership to develop a 2d or 3d Shooter type p2e game on Gat Network be accepted or is such style of games not compatible with the vision of the project?

Wit:
there are different types of shooters 😊 We are always happy do discuss, if you have something specific in mind, Johalex. Simply send us more info on it 👍🏼

GameAce Crypto Invaders is a “shooter”, too 😉

Roman:
On-chain gaming best works for turn-based, non time-critical games. Having a shooter or any “live” game would require at least a part of backend-driven tecnology. We have some sketches how such games could look like and how to prevent cheating. I would definitely love to explore the possibilities there when the time allows!

First focus now is MV, as it opens a lot of additional markets and communities for us. It will serve as a base for future development of games, independent of the chain they are running on. Afterwards, there are several follow-up game ideas that I would personally love to get my hands on as fast as possible! 🔥

Johalex:
Has there been a tempting but inconvenient offer that you had to turn down on or around the Gat Network?

Wit:
We do receive may offers from different investors for GAT OTC deals. However, we are not eager to sell tokens. Most of all, if we accept investors we are looking for long vesting and value added (contacts, advice, promotional services, etc.). We turn down many offers to “invest”

Johalex:
Regarding MintedVodka, the official announcement promotes a “2000 USD shopping spree on Friday” Will there be a new one every month?

Wit:
We are indeed considering a budget (on a monthly or weekly basis) to go shopping for cool NFTs regularly. GAT Network will build an online gallery for our favorite pieces. We will also put some of them on sale through Bulk Deals or Mystery Boxes.

Hey, how about gas fee on gat network?

Wit:
We try to stay as low as possible. Our contracts are optimized as much as possible to have low gas. However, this does depend on the network. Since we are multi-chain (at least with MV2), it is a question that one cannot answer. The users will choose and user the best chains with time. We simply provide the ability for you to choose, without the need to learn a new platform for each chain.

During the period that they have been developing Gat Network, one day some people have felt that they started a little late with this challenge, either only to satisfy the fulfillment of a creative ideal. Or maybe because there were times in the past when immediately after launching it would have been a gigantic economic boom? (The latter assuming that money has some kind of importance)

Wit:
I am not sure, if I understand the question correctly, but I will try to answer.
Blockchain games have several issues right now. This is not something limited to our games, we see it also in other projects.

1. p2e does not work long-term. The “earning” has to come from somewhere. In any case the economic balance is hard.
2. the balances of economic flows are hard to design
3. early adopters in blockchain gaming right now are less interested in the “game” part, but more in the “earn” part — they come from DeFi space

We thing that blockchain gaming will mature in the near future. Projects will start attracting real players and also offer different gaming experiences. With time it will become more about “game”, although rewards and “value” will still be part of the game — simply because of the nature of NFTs.

We will help to shape this future. GAT Network is not interested to build and hype short-term rockets. We build solid stuff here 😊

Johalex:
Somehow Gat Network has caused any of the team members to have to reinvent themselves in the professional aspect?

Wit:
We learn something new everyday. Marketing is the biggest challenge for most projects as it is for ours (especially if you want to refrain from shady practices and shilling). We had to learn a lot here, and talk to many professionals in the space. But we are on a good way right now 👍🏼

Johalex:
At what age did they start developing code. And what or who influenced them in that journey?

Wit:
oh wow, that’s an interesting one. Well, Roman and I started to write code at the age of 14, I think. So it’s over 20 years ago. We have been always into computers and technical stuff. There have been many influences in that interest, I think. I remember watching “Terminator 2” with fascination as a kid.

Johalex:
You speak three languages. German, English and Spanish. Does anyone have a fourth language?

Wit:
We are fluent in Russian, too. We also understand some French14:00

Johalex:
Will the GATE Token remain deflationary? If so, by what method?

Wit:
Yes, it will stay deflationary. We do not plan to have any more expansions in the future.
What method? Different methods.

Wit:
1. Alchemy Arena already burns GATs
2. we develop a myriad of services/features on MV, all of them charge GATe. Everything goes into a single treasury that is distributed: to AlchemyToys, to GATe stakers, to the company. And a small amount should burn

Roman:
How much the treasury will burn is yet to be decided. There has to be a balance to make the GATe staking profitable and have a regular deflation.

Also regarding the deflationary GATe. Consider the following: As we deploy MV multi-chain, GATe will be needed on all these chains. So it will have to be bridged there, increasing the scarcity on all the other chains. So as we continue to add new EVM chains and pull new communities with respective creators into our network, more GATe will be distributed across those networks, making it more scarce from perspective of single chain.

Johalex:
If one day you had to leave the German jurisdiction to remove some type of regulatory obstacle for the development of the project, what would be the most likely choice?

Roman:
Definitely another one with easier rules regarding crypto 😄

Wit:
we have thought about that, but it is not on our current roadmap. It is true, Germany is the strictest country regarding crypto in the European Union. However, if we meet compliance here, we are most likely also compliant in most other places.

Roman:
Moreover, the European law regarding crypto is about to be implemented. And it will be less strict than the current Germany one. So we will see what happens

Johalex:
It has been said that we will only apply for listing on top-tier exchanges, and the focus is known to be on Binance. Do you hope this will happen sometime in 2022 or do you think it will take longer?

Wit:
Binance takes time, this will not happen in the next months, in my opinion. However, personally I do hope for 2022. We will also list on other TOP5–7 exchanges.

Johalex:
🙈Would you answer the somewhat uncomfortable question about what do you believe and without any passion that the minimum price of the GATE should be at the end of 2022? Worldly which of the following three valuations would you choose: 100 usd, 200 usd, more than 300 usd or more than 1000 usd?

Wit:
I would answer that question if I wasn’t part of the team. However, as part of the team it has certain implications and later on expectations from users. Let’s say that with the products that we build, we are very very optimistic 😉

Roman:
I will answer it this way: I have privately bought over 6000 GAT recently, which I intend to hold for the forseeable future. My wife also bought a considerable amount at about 10 USD and intends to hold it. From personal perspective we are nowhere near the full potential regarding the price. 😄

Also, I would not quantify anything in USD, considering that its supply went 5x in the past 2 years lol

GAT could be worth very well over a million in a few years, but you wouldn’t buy a coffee for 100k USD if the inflation continues haha

why havent you increased the supply of gat when you moved to gate? so that we dont have to deal with 0.0000x gat in the future for the deals :D

Well we did increase the supply 2x. But the increased supply is strictly reserved for a limited set of activites such as top.tier CEX-lisiting. Investment rounds with very long vesting, marketing activities.

So the additional supply won’t be noticed over the next few years in any considerable fashion

But it gives us certain freedom to maneuver. If GAT price explodes, we will need to quantify stuff in GATE cents, probably 😄

Wit:
