These Infographics relies on the Data Analysis done by @RosebudAnwuri on “A Data Driven Guide to Becoming A Consistent Billionaire”.

When I first read the article on her blog, I was both intrigued and fascinated. I did some research on the billionaires and how they made it.

Fun fact: In the past 32 years, only 5 people had held the title of the richest person in the World. This changed when Jeff Bezos became the World’s Richest Person in 2018.

The Billionaires Cluster

Fun fact: The youngest billionaires in the world are Alexandra Andresen (21) and Katharina Andresen (22).

Types of Billionaires

  • The Consistent: These are individuals who have consistently been billionaires year in and year out. It also includes billionaires that have been away from the list for at most a year (e.g. Mark Zuckerberg in 2008). They should have been billionaires before 2015.
  • The Ghosts: These are billionaires who left the list and have not returned in the past four years. They also should have made their debut before 2015.
  • The Hustlers: This category includes every other billionaire who made their debut before 2015. i.e.
  1. Those that left more than once and made a comeback each time.
  2. Those who, although made it back to the list, spent more than a year away.
  3. Those who are yet to come back but have not spent up to 4 years off the list.
  • The Newbies: These are billionaires that made their debut between 2015 and 2017.

Fun fact: The youngest self-made billionaire is John Collison (27), Cofounder of Stripe with his brother Patrick Collison (29).
