For years on my Facebook and later my previous blog, inspired by a similar effort with horror comics from reviewer Linkara, I would do a whole month dedicated to horror movie reviews. I liked doing it because it allowed me the opportunity to watch a variety of horror movies.
However, I’ve since come to realize my style of reviewing was… primitive compared to the advanced reviews I’ve come to like. And during the last year, I lost the will to really write reviews like that. I had more fun with the more looser, stream of consciousness TV reviews as of late, and I felt I could potentially do better analysis than my long form review format allowed.
I was considering continuing the tradition of horror movie reviews this year on my shiny new Medium page, but I felt that the standard “Intro, synopsis, good, bad” reviews I was doing wouldn’t translate well, and weren’t really the type I enjoyed doing anymore.
Then, suddenly, I had a thought while I was browsing Disney+: What has had over 30 seasons, and in each of them, a horror themed anthology?
