XXV (Season 26, Episode 4, Aired October 19th, 2014)

Funny enough opening, satirizing the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, only with Kang and Kodos. Good punchline in the end where the title is the dismembered body parts of the various celebrities mentioned in the opening.

“School is Hell” is an original segment, where Bart goes to a version of Springfield Elementary in hell, deciding that education in eternal damnation suits him. The gags are pretty frequent, and they mostly work. The design of the Hell school and student is pretty good. Both grotesque and charming, managing to capture the tone of this particular short. There’s a very cool reference to “The Devil and Homer Simpson” from back in season 5 in one background gag, where a demon is in the same donut feeding apparatus, being fed donuts. I like that Bart becomes something of a star pupil, indulging his appetite for destruction. There’s an interesting, very funny joke about obscure Harvey comics character Hot Stuff (who is in hell for how lame his comics were):

Sounds about right, based on this cover. There’s an interesting reference to Paramount as the “Burns Hellport” is a “division of Gulf+Western”. The montage is pretty funny, with tons of really good sight gags, including “Keeping The Yankees in First Place” as a class in hell, and “The O’Reilly Factor for Kids” being a book…
