The Epic Overuse of Epic

Is it cool to describe something as epic? Yes, but not if it’s burrito.

Epic is one of those words, like literally, that’s been incorrectly used to the point that its original meaning is largely obscured. After all, can a burger really be heroic or grand in scale or character? No, Epic Burger, it can not. Can it narrate the deeds and adventures of heroic or legendary figures or the history of a nation? Nope. It’s meat between two pieces of bread.

Now humankind traveling 238,900 miles through space to set foot on a celestial body? THAT is epic.
