The two most important pillars in product management are — vision and strategy. Vision is the dream of the future with an overarching goal. Strategy is all about winning. It helps product succeed and makes the vision a reality.

Below figure demonstrates a practical example of a product in a healthcare setting. Product strategy acts as a bridge for the execution/tactics to reach the vision. Execution should always be aligned to the vision through the vehicle of strategy.
