Westmead Hospital is a major Sydney hospital, with 975 beds, serving one of the largest growing population areas in NSW. Westmead is the largest hospital in Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD), and one of the largest in New South Wales. It’s also the major teaching hospital of the University of Sydney for medical and dental students, and provides a wide range of medical services.

The hospital, which opened in 1978, will soon be redeveloped, transforming the iconic precinct into a contemporary and integrated health centre which will continue to deliver high quality healthcare and meet the growing needs of Western Sydney, while still being regarded as a world-class destination for health, research and education for decades to come.
