Hillary Clinton in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

The Pennsylvania House of Representatives on Tuesday passed H.B. 1948, a law that limits women’s health care choices and puts women’s health and rights at risk. PennLive reports it is “among the more restrictive in the nation.” In response, Hillary Clinton issued the following statement:

“In just the first three months of 2016, states across the country introduced more than 400 restrictions on abortion, and Pennsylvania Republicans are working doggedly to pass another law to infringe on women’s health care decisions. I strongly oppose this bill. It’s wrong and a vivid reminder of what’s at stake in this election as Republicans like Donald Trump, who want to punish women for their health care choices, are on the ballot.

“Women have a constitutional right to make their own reproductive health decisions. As president, I will continue my fight to defend that right against those who aim to restrict it, and to further improve access to health care for women and their families.”
