Iris van Meijl

Dutch art student Iris van Meijl (b. 1995) uses beautiful images of nature merged with her own horse photography. This juxtaposition is to remind the viewer that within the polished exterior of the (sport)horse as we know it today, the natural instincts of a wild animal are ever present. She places the horse in it’s original environment of meadows, mountains and fields, and so combining wild and tamed, past and present.
