Joseph Alleman (b. 1975) showed an early interest in art and began painting at the age of fifteen. Born in San Francisco, Joseph grew up in Salt Lake City, and graduated in Fine Art from Utah State University.

‘I’m visually compelled by various forms of shape, value, pattern, etc. Through the process of painting, I gain new and deeper insight into my subject and its surroundings as these elements combine and communicate.’ – Joseph Alleman

Although using different media, Alleman is particularly known for his watercolours. Using the most subtle colours and simplistic approach, Alleman effortlessly captures timeless moments on his canvas. Be it landscapes, barn and farm scenery or in this case horses, the paintings breath a sense of calmness and tranquility. With beautiful compositions, soft edges and perfect geometry.

“…Contemporary eye and traditional technique..” — Southwest Art magazine

Joseph Alleman is represented by a number of art galleries, find out more here.
