The works of Canadian artist Kevin Sonmor (b. 1959) remind me of English Romanticist Joseph Turner. If Turner would have painted horses it’s possible they would have looked like this.

The paintings are described by curator Sarah Boucher as “classical subjects with a more contemporary technique, a spontaneous brush stroke, a texture modern and fluid, with powerful coloration.”
