Dutch photographer/artist Marie Cécile Thijs (b. 1964) has an amazing signature style that reminds the viewer of old masters like Rembrandt and Caravaggio. Her (horse)portraits are still lifes, and her still lifes become portraits.
Her work “Salinero, portrait of an Olympic horse” is part of the art collection of the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam.
