Meeting George Stubbs
Throughout the years, George Stubbs has been an inspiration to many (equine) artists. His knowledge of equine anatomy and form, his use of colour and talent to bring the horse alive on canvas has been admired and studied by many.
Paard Verzameld Collective took on the challenge to give an interpretation of George Stubbs most famous work, ‘Whistlejacket. An icon as far as equine portraiture goes.
Tribute to two legends
It has resulted in the biggest Art Challenge to date, a grand finale to end this amazing art year! Paard Verzameld Collective artists from all over the world joined forces to pay tribute to two legends, George Stubbs and his Whistlejacket.
Whistlejacket to the mainland!
This February, Whistlejacket will make his first trip overseas to be exhibited at the Mauritshuis museum in the Hague, the Netherlands. Paard Verzameld will be reporting on this amazing opportunity to see the work of George Stubbs for the first time on the mainland.
