Telugu Aksharamaala (or) Varnamaala

Asksharamaala means set of Telugu Alphabets. As we have vowels and consonants in English alphabets, in Telugu also we have vowels and consonants. In the past there were some letters in use but later on their usage has completely dissapeared.

Currently the Telugu script consists of 60 symbols — 16 vowels, 3 vowel modifiers, and 41 consonants. Telugu has a complete set of letters that follow a system to express sounds.

For long vowels like ఆ, it is denoted as ‘ā’ or ‘ â’ or ‘aa’.

‘ఋ’ is pronounced always as ru, when it is used in a word along with other letters. otherwise when it is pronounced as a single letter, it is also pronounced as ‘Aru’ (Aru is the exact one.

Practice the pronunciation of letters by saying out loudly.
