It always sucks when holidays come to an end. We’ve put together our favourite holiday jams to keep you motivated as you enter into the second half of the teaching year.

AlunaGeorge Feat. Leikeli47 & Dreezy — Mean What I Mean

The British dance-pop duo AlunaGeorge are back at it again, teaming up with upcoming MCs Dreezy and Leikeli 47 to deliver you a tune that will get any pre-drinks bumping.

The Avalanches — Subways

After their 16 year hiatus, The Avalanches are back with a new album Wildflower. ‘Subways’ is the third release from the Australian band’s new album and it isn’t short of impressive. Using disco-influenced samples and bass-lines, this gem will have you grooving into the night and beyond.

SAFIA — Over You

Homegrown superstars, SAFIA have released a new track ‘Over You’ from their upcoming debut album Internal which is set to drop on September 9. They’ve also released tour dates which can be found here.

ZHU — Generationwhy

We literally can’t stop talking about electronic-dance sensation — ZHU. This Los Angels based DJ/Producer is just about to drop his debut album Generationwhy. The albums title track reminds us of summer-evening vibes, dancing as the sun is setting around you, getting ready for the night ahead.

Flume Feat. Tove Lo — Say It

What’s a Top 10 without featuring Flume. ‘Say It’ is a slower jam from the album Skin featuring Tove Lo, which has elements of sexuality powering through the sound and lyrics.

Disclosure — Boss

Nothing’s better than receiving a surprise EP from everyone’s favourite producers: Disclosure. ‘Boss’ is a classic Disclosure track, dance-floor friendly that will keep your head nodding and foot tapping.

Vera Blue — Settle

The enchanting vocals and rhythmic sounds of ‘Settle’ by Vera Blue will mesmerize your soul and relax you when the going gets tough. On a completely different tip to the above songs, we’re expecting big things from the 20 year old from NSW.

Chance the Rapper ft. 2 Chainz & Lil Wayne — No Problem

Chance the Rapper is a breathe of fresh air the hip-hop community has needed for a long time. Bringing aspects of soul and gospel samples, which are peppered throughout his latest mixtape Coloring Book, ‘No Problem’ is an uplifting and joyfully track featuring some heavy weights — 2 Chainz and Lil’ Wayne. Guaranteed to get you motivated for the day ahead!

Kanye West — Famous

This guy can’t seem to stay out of the limelight and this video clip isn’t helping. Teaming up with Rihanna and Swizz Beatz, ‘Famous’ is Kanye’s latest controversy to hit the web. Using samples of Jamaican singer Sister Nancy and American singer Nina Simone, the thumping beat rivals all sorts of feels when you’re out dancing.

Spit Syndicate — Know Better

Aussie hip-hop you say… ‘Know Better’ is the first track from the new studio album by Sydney duo, Spit Syndicate. The infectious beat and singalong vocals go hand-in-hand; these two are gearing up for big things in the future.
