Youth Soccer in America (#2)

Hello. My name is Sage Smotherman. I have been interested in many things in my young life, however, soccer has been a constant in my life for as long as I can remember. Soccer is the sport that i have taken the most interest in and in turn, the sport that I grew to love with passion. I have received many achievements that I am very proud of and I have been many places around the country to play the game I love and I have seen some of the most extreme moments of youth soccer.

Most people have realized by now that youth soccer is not a very popular sport in most places in the US. People would rather have their children play basketball or football or another sport. But, what many people don’t realize is that the state of youth soccer in America is in a very good place. Many parents are having their children play recreational soccer at a young age. Also, the competitive scene at an older age is doing very well with showcases and tournaments around the country that invite the best teams from all over the world to compete in front of college coaches and scouts.

I believe that in the coming years of this world, the US will have a very dominant youth soccer program and will eventually reach the point of the most popular sport in America. Most people know that soccer is the most popular sport around the world and is the worlds most beautiful game. I believe that we can make soccer the leading sport in the US and it starts with youth soccer.
