PAL Network Tech Update #7 (OCT 2018)

Last month was a monumental period for our tech team, especially since the official launches of PAL Token Shield and testnet protocol PALLAS were well-received by the PAL community. Since then, our tech team has continuously worked around the clock to fine-tune existing PAL products to ensure optimal user experience.

Here’s what went down in the month of October:

More developments on PALLAS testnet

PALLAS testnet has generated a positive response from our community. As such, our tech team is implementing more developments to mimic what the community can expect when the official mainnet launches at the end of this year.

a) PAL Smart Contracts Templates

PAL Smart Contract templates will simplify the creation process for insurance policies, which can allow anyone to deploy their own Mutual Aid Smart Contract Policies into PAL blockchain. The template intends to negate the requirement of coding in Solidity, allowing anyone to create and deploy Smart Contracts. The templates will be made available on our upcoming PAL Partners Dashboard.

b) PAL Partners Dashboard

The PAL Partners Dashboard will smooth out the policy creation process. The team ensures the dashboard to be user-friendly with simple drag-and-drop features. Creators can complete the process of creating a policy in 5 simple steps: naming the policy, selecting the category, defining the type of coverage, customising the variables, and lastly reviewing the policy.

The policy will be automatically converted into Solidity and deployed into PAL blockchain. Eventually, the policies created will be listed in the PAL Insurance Marketplace.

c) New PAL Explorer (Now launched at

The tech team also added a new look to the PAL Testnet Explorer site. The revamped site is now launched at Be sure to check it out.

That should be enough tech updates for the month of October. Sit still till our mainnet launch, and be ready to check out the next round of tech updates.

Currently, PAL Network has partnerships with insurance companies, FWD and Ergo, to explore potential use cases of our decentralised protocol together. Furthermore, we have also established collaborations with blockchain projects NEM, QTUM, Sentinel Protocol, MediBloc, Digix and to offer CryptoProtect and mainstream insurance products for the projects themselves, along with their respective communities.
