Raks Pallikkoodam School of Excellence, affiliated with the Cambridge Pathway and CAIE, is a futurist school progressing towards enabling learning and championing sports

Team Pallikkoodam is a strong believer of this philosophy. Across the realms of Academic Education and the Sports Arena, the school system resonates with the idea that a safe yet stimulating atmosphere, suitable and engaging materials and resources, and a strong team of committed and professional trainers / facilitators can, in cognizance of each other and the world around- create a revolution in education. At a stage when the universe is available to every child at the click of a button, we endeavour to rethink and redesign every learning experience.
The pandemic has largely contributed towards this effort even as we have been challenged with the availability of basic materials, the physical space for interaction between the members of the team in addition to reaching out to learners remotely. In our pursuit to keep the ball rolling, blending innovation with excellence was as exciting as playing a finals in a tournament. Our Reggio kits, Math and Stem kits, and the experiential learning strategies were whole-heartedly welcomed by parents. This line of thought opened many more avenues to nurture learning and stimulate thinking. A stark contrast to rote memorization and book-based assessments, our online assessments, classes, pedagogy, and connect with learners goes all the way forward to reimagining education in its true sense in a global world like today’s.
If academics went this far, it would be an understatement to say that sports at RaK’s has also been the talk of the city! Our partnerships with Badminton Gurukul, Rohan Bopanna Tennis Academy, Raman Vijayan Soccer School-backed by stalwarts like Mr Pullela Gopichand, Mr Rohan Bopanna and Mr Raman Vijayan respectively-have all been brought into action during this time of global catastrophe. The professional training being imparted during this time stands out for its personal touch, supporting sports enthusiasts as young as 5 years, preparing them to take up challenges coming their way and face them with positivity and strength. Making time for sports doesn’t come easily for our Raksters. It takes immense grit and determination to work on research, complete PROJECT BASED assignments, take up leadership roles during group work, and solve critical real-world problems, apart from attending their professional training sessions. As they say, It takes an active mind and a fit body to learn well and play hard. Including Physical Education in the school curriculum is another step we have taken to enable children gain a deeper understanding of fitness levels and their impact on the body and mind. Although remotely done, the classes have an envious patronage and children feel rejuvenated to take up their daily routine after these sessions. We can proudly say that the Sports Arena is full of life and we are filled with hope for the future of Sports in Education when we see our very own Raksters bring about a harmonious balance between sports and learning.
The RaKs Sports Arena has 6 indoor badminton courts built to BWF standards, 3 tennis courts, a basketball and a 7 a side soccer turf for the children of Coimbatore to train.
