Join us in celebrating Pride Month and the LGBTQ+ community. Learn about events and resources available supporting inclusion and belonging for all in our community. From Palo Alto City Library fun family activities to curated book lists, there’s something for everyone this Pride Month.

UPCOMING PRIDE EVENTS

Find a mix of Pride events for everyone to celebrate and learn this June, advancing the City Council’s 2024 Priority focused on Community Health, Safety, Wellness and Belonging from a film documentary, karaoke to family storytimes, pride themed STEAM lab, and listening session. Learn about some of the featured events below.

Documentary: Every Body I Wednesday, June 5 I 7 p.m. I Mitchell Park Library

Mitchell Park Library is offering a PRIDE 🏳️‍🌈 month documentary screening of Every Body! From Julie Cohen, a director of Academy Award-nominated documentary RBG, and featuring three intersex individuals comes an investigation of how intersex people have been treated and are still being regarded in today’s society.

Open Studio: King Artist Residency I Thursday, June 20 I 11 a.m. I Cubberley Community Center — Studio E6

Meet the 2024 King-Artist-in-Residence Alma Landeta. For their King Residency project Alma Landeta is focusing on the lived experiences of the LGBTQAI+ community members residing and/or working in Palo Alto with the goal of sparking conversations about inclusion, equity, a sense of belonging and bringing Palo Alto’s diverse communities together through better understanding and compassion.

Karaoke with PRIDE for teens and young adults I Saturday, June 22 I 4 p.m. I Mitchell Park Library

Join the library for some karaoke to celebrate pride month! We will also have button-making, snacks, a chance to connect with friends! This program is for teens and young adults ages 11–25.

Listening Forum I Thursday, June 27 I 6 p.m. I Mitchell Park Library

The County of Santa Clara Office of LGBTQ Affairs in partnership with City of Palo Alto invites you to share feedback on what programs and services are needed today for the LGBTQ+ community. Food and drinks will be served.
