Storm Preparedness Workshop: November 13

Ed promoted the City’s Storm Preparedness Community Workshop, which took place November 13 at the Art Center Auditorium, and highlighted what the City is doing to prepare and how the community can prepare.

He encouraged people to learn more about the workshop and available resources at www.cityofpaloalto.org/StormPreparednessWorkshop.

Help Inform County Effort

Consolidated Plans are documents that help local governments and states assess their community development and affordable housing needs. It also helps make data-driven decisions about where to invest resources and is a federal requirement to receive funding.

Updated every 5 years, the Santa Clara County is planning this effort along with eight cities and towns including Palo Alto, to increase awareness of and participation in the Consolidated Plan process. Join a virtual workshop on November 20 to share perspectives on community needs.

Mitchell Park Library & Community Center 10 Year Anniversary

Join us on Saturday, November 16 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., as we celebrate the 10-year anniversary of our spectacular Mitchell Park library and community center! Festivities include speeches, architectural tours, performances and other activities, highlighting how this popular joint facility is used daily.

Downtown Housing Area Plan Survey

This week an online survey will be launched to gain perspectives on housing downtown. Input will help inform the Downtown Housing Area Plan process focused on housing production in Palo Alto’s downtown and implementing policies and programs of the City’s Comprehensive Plan and the 2023–2031 Housing Element. The survey is one outreach tool of many used to engage the community, businesses, and regional and local stakeholders.
