Live Your Best Life in Palo Alto During National Wellness Month and Beyond

August is National Wellness Month. The City of Palo Alto invites you to prioritize self-care, stress reduction, and healthy habits that help you feel like your best self! To help you do just that, this blog offers valuable resources to celebrate National Wellness Month throughout August and beyond. The City’s focus on wellness advances the City Council’s Priority focused on Community Health, Safety, Wellness and Belonging and recognizes the United States Surgeon General’s 2023 Advisory on the Loneliness & Isolation Epidemic, noting the healing effects of social connection and community.

With school back in session this week for many teens, we’re focusing this week’s update on supporting teen wellness. Get involved with the Teen Advisory Board at the Mitchell Park Teen Center, explore volunteer opportunities with the Palo Alto City Library, find mental health support with allcove or the Children’s Health Council, and more.

Social connection is vital to community health, and we offer many ways to connect together. This week, we’re focusing on how to support wellness for the whole family. This week, we’re focusing on resources for physical wellness to support both body and mind.
