Farm Mutlipliers Visual Update

Dear PancakeSwap Community and CAKE holders,

Over the past few months, CAKE’s price performance has been relatively strong, and therefore, the value of the CAKE incentives we give out for Farms rewards has strengthened.

As a result, it has been more costly to offer 1x Farms, 0.5x Farms, and even 0.1x Farms!

In the next few days, we’ll be rolling out a change to our front-end, visually rebasing multipliers by a factor of 10. Therefore, a Farm prior to the change that had a 0.1x multiplier will now appear as having a 1x multiplier.

Note: There is no difference in the amount of CAKE incentives a Farm receives BEFORE and AFTER this change!

We’ve decided to institute this change as we will now be considering [0.1x, 0.5x] multipliers for new Farms – under the previous system, this would have been [0.01x, and 0.05x].

This will allow us to optimize our incentivised Farms offering for projects on BNB Chain, and Ethereum! And, as we continue to adjust our Farm multipliers for efficiency, please note that upcoming adjustments will look larger, though the magnitude would be similar.

For example, our recent Farms Multiplier Adjustment reduced the multiplier of certain Farms by a total of 12.9x. Under the new system, this would be 129x. So while the change looks larger, the extent of the change is the same!
