We are accepting submissions from guest and returning writers!

Pandora Magazine is a small group of journalists, discussing culture, current events and personal experiences through the lens of intersectional feminism. We are interested in your perspective, and are looking to publish a wide range of articles written by women and non-binary peoples.

You don’t have to sign up to Medium to be a writer, we can publish you (anonymously or named) under The Editor page. However, it is easier for your work to be recognised if you do.

We take Medium’s publishing standards seriously, so please make sure that any work we may publish falls in within those guidelines (find them here).

Work We Publish:

  1. Articles: on culture, interviews, local and global politics, and feminism.
  2. Opinion pieces: on anything, as long as it is through a nuanced framing (preferably intersectional).
  3. Personal essays: this includes artwork, poetry, essays.

Guidelines:

  1. All articles submitted must not have been published elsewhere. When contacting us, please send a draft.
  2. Please make sure your work is spell and grammar checked before sending it to us.
  3. If you use images, please make sure that they are captioned and credited accordingly — they must be used within copyright law.
  4. You can use up to four tags of your own choosing, but the fifth tag must be one of the following: culture, feminism, opinion piece, personal essay, politics. This is so that, when published, the article turns up in one of the navigation pages.
  5. If you feel that trigger warnings are necessary, you may add them.
  6. The maximum word count is 5,000 (with a 10% leniency over).
  7. There is a rolling deadline of the 20th of each month.

Email us at hello@pandoramagazine.co.uk. We will try to get back to you as soon as possible.
