Ever connect with someone on LinkedIn only to realize that what you really need is their phone number or email? Or struggle to find someone on Instagram even though you’re friends on Facebook? Well, you’re not alone. Collating all of your contacts’ information is often time consuming and laborious (or even impossible).

PeckApp is solving for the millions of consumers who also face these issues by serving as the bridge between all forms of communication. Their platform allows people to share exactly which types of communication they want (including their phone number, email, Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, GroupMe, and many more), when they want (at school, or social and networking events), with exactly who they want. All transfers are completely secure and consensual. Users also have the option to share their information with more than one person at once.

“The mission of our company is to enable people to connect across all of these mediums to promote social networking, inclusion, and enhance person to person bonding and experiences”
- Patrick Callahan, Co-founder of PeckApp

More holistically, PeckApp seeks to connect people. They recognize how powerful each of the aforementioned means of communication are and how much more powerful they can be when used together. “They each provide their own utility,” Patrick Callahan, Co-founder of PeckApp, said. “Some of these methods of communication are fun, some are serious, and some are just useful. The mission of our company is to enable people to connect across all of these mediums to promote social networking, inclusion, and enhance person to person bonding and experiences.” Moreover, PeckApp gives its users ownership over all of their social media accounts.

Campus Ambassadors

PeckApp is currently looking for campus ambassadors at universities across Providence. Ambassadors will help PeckApp spread their brand through marketing materials and advertising that are unique to each school. Candidates should have experience in at least a few of the following areas: #Social Media, #Mobile Marketing, #Advertising, and #Brand Development. PeckApp is also interested in teammates with strong work ethics and selflessness who can lead by example. Patrick describes the current team as “completely self motivated.”

Getting Involved

Right now, PeckApp’s biggest challenges include launching and iterating on their ambassador program, partnering with student groups, and increasing their social media presence. Addressing these obstacles will help them gain downloads and recurring users. If you or someone you know is interested in becoming a PeckApp ambassador or helping them surmount any of these challenges, download the Pangea mobile app to reach out to Patrick!
