What do you do at Pangolin?

I am responsible for the architecture, security, implementation, deployment, and maintenance of Pangolin’s infrastructure. This primarily relates to the smart contracts however also includes similar responsibilities for administrative technical tasks such as DAO transactions.

What did you do before working in crypto?

Before crypto, I worked as a full stack engineer consulting for the digital hub of Booz Allan Hamilton.

What originally got you into crypto? What were some of your first investments?

I thought (and still do) that the concept of distributed decentralized systems is fascinating! I bought some LTC and ETH and almost immediately got into scripting and botting various interactions.

What types of projects most excite you in the space (outside of Pangolin, of course)?

I particularly enjoy the deterministic nature of smart contracts and the possibilities they unlock. Crypto as a whole provides many avenues for efficient bots to succeed and I’ve always enjoyed automating tasks like this.

If you could go back in time and give yourself one piece of advice from the day you started investing in crypto, what would it be?

You have no idea what you’re doing… like, really. Also, buy a bunch of ETH.

What led to you working at Pangolin?

I really liked the concept of a fair launch and community owned project without VC involvement. Being launched on Avalanche with the c-chain’s “gossip” consensus mechanism also seemed neat. I began doing some moonlighting as a community member and eventually had the opportunity to jump on full time.

Which part of our 2022 Roadmap are you most excited for? And why?

Sunshine and Rainbows will change the game by incentivizing sticky liquidity and other staked assets. A smoothed-out SuperFarmV2 system also gets me excited as it will tie up many loose ends and remove the pain points we’ve discovered from the first implementation.
