These resources you should never miss 😯

Integrating Open Education Resources from worldwide

From my perspective, the “Education Equality” problem actually happens everywhere. No matter what background you coming from. Nowadays, “education” always be considered costly enjoyment. “Student loan” turns into everybody’s nightmare. However, you may also know that some people don’t worry about it. The reason is not they are rich (somehow yes…), but they have no choice. They have no choice but to drop out of the class for the money. This kind of phenomenon commonly happens to the people who live in the rural areas of Taiwan especially.

I had participated in volunteer clinics and tutors. I witnessed it. This experience gave me such a great realization that these “victims” sometimes even don’t know they should fight for this right. During the interview at that time, even I tried so hard to deliver the importance of education, most of the time, they still could not get it. Because for them, having a well prepare for an incoming career life seems to be more realistic. Studying at school is a thing waste of time and money.

That is why in here, this section, I would not only integrate Open Education Resources related to “studying” but also to “life skills”. Expecting that these resources from worldwide could inspire people as many as possible. Maybe these pieces of information are good for other volunteer tutors to prepare their teaching materials or the people who are looking forward to a place which was integrated the resources for them.

This idea came out during I was a mentee in GCM Mentoring Program¹

Again, for now, this blog is aiming to localize these pieces of information (to Taiwanese) as here, in Taiwan, having a big advantage that it is easy to access the internet. Nevertheless, it would be also fantastic that these integrating open education resources could help you, global visitors. 👋

If you really get the benefit from here or you would like to share about your open education resources, please do not hesitate to leave the comments for letting me know about it. 😉
