Thank you all for your support and questions regarding the Pantos Technology ICO. We are constantly collecting feedback and gratefully take note of your input on all our channels. Feel free to join the official Pantos Telegram group or follow us on Twitter for regular updates.

What is an Airdrop?

An Airdrop is usually a way of distributing tokens by gifting them (hence “Airdrop”) to holders of a particular digital currency, such as Bitcoin or Ethereum. At Bitpanda we want to use an Airdrop to reward all users registered on our platform.

Who will be able to get free PAN tokens via the Airdrop?

During the Airdrop Phase, every registered Bitpanda user will be able to claim the Airdrop PAN tokens, when the Pantos Technology ICO starts. Note: You need to be a registered Bitpanda user plus you will have to accept the terms and conditions of the ICO, which will be possible with the start of the ICO on March 21st 2018, 12:00 CET (UTC+1). Note that the Airdrop phase will last four weeks, regardless of whether the ICO is sold out (hard cap is reached) earlier or not. This means you will be able to claim your free PAN tokens from March 21st 2018, 12:00 CET (UTC+1) until April 18th 2018, 12:00 CET (UTC+1).

How will the PAN Airdrop work?

There are 10 Million PAN tokens overall available to be airdropped to registered Bitpanda users, who have accepted the terms and conditions of the ICO once it started. Please note that the Airdrop will happen after the Airdrop phase (March 21st 2018 until April 18th 2018). Your free PAN tokens will be credited directly to your Bitpanda wallet.

What is a Technology ICO?

We want to use an ICO (Initial Coin Offering) for what it was conceived in the first place. We are convinced that this funding method is a practical way to provide the resources necessary for the research and development of innovative open source technologies. The project will only raise the amount it actually need to support talented researchers, with whom Pantos wants to speed up the blockchain technology adoption and growth.

When will the Pantos ICO start and how long will it last?

The ICO will start on March 21st at 12:00 Central European Time Zone (UTC+1). It will last 4 weeks or until the hard cap of 1,500 Bitcoin has been reached.

Who will be able to participate in the Pantos ICO?

Everyone who is registered with their E-mail address on Bitpanda.com. You don’t need to be verified.

Is there a KYC process in order to participate in the Pantos ICO?

No, every Bitpanda user, who is registered and logged in via E-mail on Bitpanda.com, can participate in the ICO. There is no further verification needed.

How can I participate in the Pantos ICO?

Log in to your Bitpanda account and click on the Pantos button to the left. Note that the ICO is not open yet and will start on March 21st 2018, 12:00 CET (UTC+1). All supported digital currencies on Bitpanda.com are accepted. Currently, this includes Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash, Bitcoin Cash and Ripple.

Why should I participate?

By participating in the Pantos project, you are helping to shape the future of blockchain-based open source technology.

Is there a cap on how much I can contribute to the Pantos Technology ICO?

There is a hard cap of 1,500 Bitcoin for the Pantos ICO. Apart from that, there is no limit for individual users.

Is there a minimum buy in?

No. In general you can support the project and participate in the ICO with any digital currency you have in your Bitpanda account. If you don’t have any digital currencies in your account, you can either transfer them from any other wallet to your respective Bitpanda address, or you buy digital currencies on Bitpanda.com. If the latter is the case, please check out the bitpanda.com/limits for details on minimum deposits and limits.

Is there a pre-sale, whitelist or private sale?

No. We don’t like these behind the curtain deals. There is no whitelist, no pre-sale and there will be no private deals. We try to do everything as transparent and fair as possible. Same rules for everyone. First come, first serve. Like in the old days.

What is Pantos?

Pantos is an open-source, open-innovation driven research project conceived by the team behind Bitpanda. The Pantos project will work closely together with scientists from the Technical University of Vienna, the Austrian Academy of Sciences and the Vienna based Research Institute for Future Cryptoeconomics (RIAT). Pantos’ aim is to develop the Token Atomic Swap Technology (TAST) and to releasing the developed work as an open-source technology, which will prospectively act as a key technology in a tokenized world. The key feature of Pantos will be that it will allow for seamless cross-chain token transfers. This means that users can simply select a target blockchain to migrate their PAN token to and therefore have future-security regardless of technological change.

What is Pantos’ goal?

As the first multi-blockchain token system, Pantos aims to bring blockchain projects closer together, improve communication between developers, researchers and users, and set innovative standards for cross-chain token transfers. The goal is to serve as a lighthouse project in an increasingly fragmented blockchain space. With multiple blockchains serving all kinds of different purposes, Pantos is seeking to allow these projects to talk to one another in a standardised way. This will speed up innovation by creating a link between blockchains which then can scale together.

What’s the main difference between Pantos and other cross-chain projects like Fusion, Wanchain, ICON, ælf, Ark, Seele, Polkadot or Cybex?

There are several very good cross-blockchain projects. The difference is, that Pantos is a scientific research project, which will build Token Atomic Swap Technology (TAST) for token transfers. Currently an atomic swap means a change in currency. That means, all current projects change asset A in a decentralised way to asset B on a different chain, for example Litecoin to Ethereum. TAST aims to do an Atomic Swap for the SAME asset. For example transferring a PAN token from Ethereum to a PAN token on Lisk using the TAST protocol. We want to transfer token and build a system that can provide projects/token/assets with flexibility, freedom and liquidity. We see why this might be confusing, as we use the word Atomic Swap. But in fact it rather is a transfer using Atomic Swaps than an actual swap.

What is TAST?

As our scientific partner, the TU Vienna will provide us with a dedicated research staff for a joint project called ‘Token Atomic Swap Technologies’ (TAST). The core aim of TAST is the scientific monitoring andof the introduction of atomic swap technologies into the Pantos project. Based on insights gained from this project, prototypes of on-chain atomic swaps will be built to demonstrate the mass market suitability.

Is there a bounty program?

To aid in the technical development of Pantos, we will introduce a bounty program for individuals and companies that want to participate. A total of 90,000,000 PAN are reserved for this. Possible receivers can be Blockchain development teams, exchanges, influencers, service providers, or interested end-users. Further, by participating in the Pantos referral program, users will receive five per cent of the value of Pantos tokens (PAN) purchased by your referees.

Is there a tell a friend system?

Yes. Basically the same one which is already available on Bitpanda.com.

Which blockchain projects will support Pantos?

Pantos will be initially launched on Ethereum with Bitcoin and Litecoin support expected to follow soon. Industry-wide respected Blockchain-projects Lisk, Komodo and Waves are partners and close collaborateurs of the Pantos project. As such, their Blockchains will get PAN-support shortly. As our communities grow together, the future of Pantos will lead to further compatibility with even more blockchain technologies.

Will there be any other Telegram groups with different languages apart the official english one?

We like to keep it as simple and transparent as possible. Therefore we think it’s unfair to have several different unofficial channels. Whilst we really appreciate the great interest in our projects from people who don’t speak english as their mother tongue, we still prefer to guarantee that the same information is contemporaneously available for everyone. So, there will only be one officialTelegram group, which is https://t.me/pantosIO.
