A pregnant soul on the verge,
Pushing and pumping for
words to merge,
Style it with tears and some laughter,
Time for verses to take a birth,

Pain, like knife, cutting through throbs,
Lacerated mind seeks aplomb,
Ardour gushing through oozing veins,
Is when words find the pen,

A thinking mind’s muse,
Chattering brain finds recluse,
Shape of emotions, ways it grinds,
Dumps the twiddle, peace it finds,

And
When the sky drops letters of ‘au revoir’,
Kaleidoscopic spectacle fill the sight,
Rains when soothe a scorching globe,
Twinkling night in Prussian robe,
Crescent, round or absent moon,
Dignified in poetic boons,

Freedom entailed, healing of self,
Words that rhyme, music encased,
Thoughts incisive, sharp, profound,
Views, opinion, calling of mind,
Listless, voracious, tender or strong,
Verses find place in unannounced forms,

Till we humans walk with a heart —
Poetry, a language, till eternity
will last!
