Eudaimonia’s Journey

Happiness comes when we face ourselves, when into darkness we do delve.

Happiness, a right of birth, when we know our true worth.
Happiness, a joyful moment, when we recognise atonement.
Happiness and all that jazz, this feeling should be felt en masse.
Happiness, a right of birth, it’s time to recognise our worth.

So much sadness all around, fallen tears don’t make a sound.
So much fear in our bones, hollowed have become our tones.
So much fear and so much worry, always are we in a hurry.
So much fear that I say, because ourselves we do betray.

Happiness is in our hearts, reconnecting to our arts.
Happiness is in our soul, reconnecting is the goal.
Happiness is in our dreams, recognising our life’s themes.
Happiness is all around, the wind of change don’t make a sound.

Always lying to ourselves, ignoring all our tired tells.
Never looking at our shadow, too scared of our cross and arrow.
Burying our heads deep in the sand, never wanting to expand.
Never wanting to be free, this is our reality.

Happiness comes when we face ourselves, when into darkness we do delve.
Happiness comes in many places, many forms and many faces.
Happiness comes from deep inside, when we connect to our internal guide.
Happiness comes when we relax, then we let go of our angst.

So much angst buried deep, for humanity I do weep.
So much pain in our bones, trained we have been to be clones.
So much darkness in our system, trained to buy things because they glisten.
So much pain that I say, because our true selves we betray.

Happiness is not on ration, just reconnect with our passion.
Happiness is not on loan, simply get into the zone.
Happiness and all that jazz, soon it will be felt en masse.
Happiness that I say, humanity will find its way.
