Expansion
Ubuntu: I am because we are
So here we are trying to keep this world together,
many trying to get back to our roots
encouraging hearts and minds to think like one
caring for each other, alleviate the suffering ravaging our earth.
Then there are those who consider themselves players,
looking to planets, inhospitable with the need to terraform
to make our new home in their over-inflated ego’s
names etched into history books with no one left to read.
Please, we have our home, granted we are tending the garden rather badly, the name watering can, has become a word omitted
from the good book 1984, we can still claim it back
reintroduce through teachings, we still have this medium of education.
Forget looking towards the stars; leave it to the elites
who have been trying to make Ubuntu a dirty word,
desiring the expansion of their race within our galaxy
finding new worlds to destroy.
Take back Ubuntu, own it and make us one again.
Ubuntu: I am because you are.
