Empty fishing boats
on an empty beach,
sign of the times.

Normally at this time of year, March, the beach has plenty of tourists frolicking in the water having the time of their life, (ahh, they were the days) but not too many people, as this part of Ko Lanta Island, South West Thailand tends to be quieter, it’s further south thus retaining its charm. However, as you can see from the photo, it’s dead!

Me lovely wife has gone to her family home in the south to work and take her mind off this awful situation as it’s heartbreaking for any restaurant owner to face this every day.
Myself; I get to read and
write with me brand new
Parker fountain pen!
Also got the whole beach and sea to meself more or less.
Eudaimonia. Oh no, not me wife part!

Hactually, thinking about this now, I’m dedicating this to the excellent E. Scott Alighieri, a master of short verse. Here’s an example.

Thank you as always, Suntonu Bhadra and the Paper Poetry team for giving my words a platform. 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you all for reading and your precious time. Always. J.
