Flourish of Her ‘N’
A monogrammed tanaga
with a flourish of her pen

Nina, much like me, enjoys randomly blending and juxtaposing colours, textures and lines to create a freeform visual mélange.
She says her art is an expression of her flourishing free spirit. You can see it there in the heart attached like a helium balloon to the loopy string of her monogrammed signature.
Who could question her claim that making art brings her so much happiness that it flows like a molten rainbow into the world? 🌈🎨❤️
Of course, poetry is another way we express the flourishing energy of mind, spirit and soul. Poetry allows us to do that in endless possible ways.
For Nina, if she were to try her hand at poetry, I’m sure it would result in flamboyant free verse that fills the page. 😅
I’ve taken a more modest approach in choosing a tanaga, a Filipino form of micropoetry, constructed with four lines each of seven syllables and a choice of rhyme scheme (mine is abab).
