Reminiscent of cells dividing, the brain splitting in two,
wants overtaking needs, needs swallowed up
as greed becomes one’s protein re-emerging as single cells
spreading neuro-degenerate disease of the mind.

Plans unfold easily through rapacious thought,
Cerebrospinal fluid no longer acting as a nutrient
or waste disposal, shit clogging ventricles with self-serving thought,
blood now carrying greed to the blackened heart.

Mistaken for genius, lauded by those seeking to benefit,
the deeper one delves into insanity
the deeper one delves to find vindication;
Justifications have ramifications for the many, not just a few.

Inflated ego, hunger never satisfied, tricking all willing or unwilling to part with their share, trickery served up without much effort,
their slice acquired with belligerent dementia just before one’s fall.

The unwilling, willing one’s death. At least the death of one’s greed.
Better call a brain surgeon, just remove the whole bloody lot.
All of them.

Thank you as always Suntonu Bhadra for giving my words a platform. Thank you also to your lovely co-editors Carolyn Hastings & Indubala Kachhawa. 🙏✨🙏✨🙏✨ Thank you all for reading and your precious time.
Always. J.🙏✨
