Inaugurating the Weekly Poetry Prompt in Paper Poetry
We are renewing our energy in 2022
Hello everyone,
Happy New year.
After the first two weeks resting period (not a literary meaning, though), Paper Poetry is ready to start 2022 with new vigor and energy. Hence, we are excited to launch our new initiative, Paper Poetry Weekly Prompt, for all contributing writers and prospective new writers.
Each week, one of our editors will announce the prompt for the upcoming seven days; and you can submit your poem based on the theme.
However, each week, we will have a different prompt, but not in a similar structure. So the prompt I will be announcing will be different from what Carolyn or Indubala will come up with.
Prompt details
So, what’s this week’s prompt! Here it goes:
Type: One-word theme, with word limits.
Theme: ‘Home’
Word limit: Minimum ten words, maximum 25 words (excluding the image courtesy, kicker, title & subtitle). No additional notes, no inclusions to be added after the poem.
Title/subtitle: The title and subtitle are up to you; however have to be relatable with the theme.
Tags: Please include the following tags, ‘W1 Prompt’, ‘Home,’ while submitting.
Image use limit: 1 image only.
Submission period: January 15–21.
Please make sure to follow the submission guidelines. Add a handwritten part (it can be the part of the poem, the calligraphed headline, or a quote related to home) or a drawing of your depiction of home.
