Incoming Storm

A winter poem

“storm”
gives it a harsh sound,
as if we’re about
to be hit with
something violent

when today
all that’s arriving
is winter’s first
blanket of snow,
ready to melt
by next morning
in fluctuating warmth.

Lucy (The Eggcademic) [she/her] is so excited for the first winter storm of the year, as an avid snow-lover. It’s so lovely to see the world enveloped in silence by that first blanket of snow! I wonder if it’ll stay?

What’s next… an archived fave from Allison Gaines or something else I wrote?
