Lugh, Irish legend, the god of oaths or of the sun a “Flashing light,”
Forever young and handsome, his energy immense and skills many.
Leader of the Tuatha De Danaan, supernatural beings of the other world,
Father of Irish Warrior legend Cu Chulainn. Lugh was also a poet.
The “Crow,”
One of Lugh’s most sacred animals accompanies him with raven and lynx.
A bird of intelligence and balanced polarity, announcer of prophecies, Predicting storms and the outcome of battles, never kept as a pet or
“Caged bird.”
Advisor to the great warrior king to be sure, In battle, “the road not taken”
is one of defeat.
Facing Balor leader of the feared Framorian beasts, Lugh used his slingshot
To knock Balor’s eye of destruction Into the back of his head killing him, Winning the battle of Magh Tuireadh.
Throughout history, Crow intelligence has been embraced in many cultures,
The smartest of birds, resting on shoulders of gods and kings.
