“Oh, the Places I’ve Been! “— Dr. Seuss

Well, not so much- “places”.
places in the mind
places in the imagination
places in the distance

I didn’t plant any markers,
-gains and losses-
I was off to the next adventure
I was watching the birds

Right now is always a point that I’ve reached
Right now is when the breeze is wafting
and the crow squawks in its flight.

From here
all things are possible.
Things change,
seasons morph from one to another
the cycles of life and death continue.

Here I place
my moving milestone
with hope and trepidation.
For the journey is long
and full of wonders, love, and disaster
and we live through it.
Amazingly.
