O little town of Bethlehem
We know you cannot lie
Nightmares fill your restless sleep
As children cry and die
So in these dark times… sadness
You choose to dim your lights
In sympathy with Gaza’s tears
And mothers’ sleepless nights

Americans go shopping
They’ll never buy enough
How can they sleep when mothers weep?
Are they bereft of love?

When will we stand together?
Not hiding in our mirth
Telling the ‘kings’ to stop bombing
And bring us peace on Earth

O little town of Bethlehem
We know you cannot lie
Nightmares fill your restless sleep
As children cry and die
So in these dark times… sadness
You choose to dim your lights
In sympathy with Gaza’s tears
And mothers’ sleepless nights

We are living in the digital world, covered in the autonomous aspects & tracked motions of life. Yet, somehow we are losing some critical elements. Keyboards, touchpads, & speech-to-text are there, but we believe that handwritten words on paper is still meaningful to some poets.
