Salt Lake Ditty
Kaleidoscope of colours
When Dreaming Time became reality,
The Dreamers wept,
mourning lost immortality
And yet …
With life there came a here, and there,
and glorious space between —
Mountains high, valleys low
colours never seen!
And tho’ the peaceful void was mourned —
the gift of life rejoiced,
First People found themselves reborn
with heart, and mind, and voice.
Joy flowed free from eyes awake —
a salty river stream
that twisted, turned, then formed a lake
kaleidoscope of dreams!

Monoreena Acharjee Majumdar used all thirty prompt words in one poem!
